Under the leadership of our Vocational School of Higher Education Architecture and Urban Planning Department faculty member Lecturer Dr. Neslihan Dal, a Technical Field Trip was conducted on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, within the scope of the Basic Map Information course. The technical trip was carried out with the participation of 1/A and 1/G students of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program, in and around Lake Gölhisar, located on the Burdur-Fethiye fault zone in the southwest of the Lakes Region within the Western Mediterranean Basin in the NE-SW direction. During the fieldwork, students gained insights into the concept of direction in the field, finding direction with maps and GPS, interpreting topographic maps with a natural environment perception, and the elements on topographic maps and the sheet division system. Additionally, they acquired knowledge about understanding and interpreting the topography and ecosystem characteristics of the geography they were in.
